Therapeutic Riding is a RECREATIONAL riding lesson program. (This is never covered by insurance)

Therapeutic Riding enables the special needs rider to work on improving knowledge of horsemanship, riding skills, balance, coordination, following directions and completing multi-step obstacles, socialization, self-esteem, and sense of accomplishment. Independence and generalizing all of the skills taught is our goal!

At Bit-By-Bit we are equipped to work with people that have various types of challenges, so lessons may move at a slow or fast pace depending on the desires of our special students. If a rider requires assistance to walk, trot, canter, or jump their horse independently, Bit By Bit has helpful teachers who are prepared to use horse leaders and side-walkers to help learning riders along the way. We strive for independence and believe that every rider is entitled to the freedom that comes from riding with their horse.

How Do I Start?

If you are interested in registering for out Therapeutic Riding Program, simply download and complete our New Rider Registration Forms. A doctor's signature is required. A list of our services offered and price list is enclosed in the downloadable packet. When your forms are completed, please call us to schedule your appointment time!
